The Transcript For This Page
PANEL ONE
The shuttle streaks downward, clearly seen in what would be the
lower left corner, enveloped in ionized fire. A lot of the fire trails
upward into what would be the upper right panel. Stars above, and
atmosphere below.
Bretta (inside the shuttle): 'We shall do as Mother would. A splendid
dinner -- I've signalled ahead -- an item of business, then a good
night's sleep. In the morning, after a proper breakfast, _Sail ho!_
for the Jendyne Empery-Cirot''
Demondion-Echeverria (inside the shuttle): 'And near-certain death!
I'll never see the Immortal School again!'
Tarrant (inside the shuttle): 'Stow the gloomy talk, Frantisek, if
y'please.'
PANEL TWO
From the back of the small aircraft-like passenger compartment
past everybody's silhouetted heads, toward the window, filled entirely
with fire.
Tarrant: 'I'll be after havin' me dinner w'the servants, Miss, so as
t'maintain the ruse.'

PANEL THREE
Bretta turns to speak to Tarrant.
Bretta: 'As you think best, Hanebuth. I, for one, shall miss you at
table in the Great Hall.'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL FOUR bottom row
Closeup on windshield, through which landscape far below can be
seen. Mountains, everblues, a big meadow, and a tumble of tiny white
blocks at one edge of the meadow.
Bretta's arm and finger can be seen in silhouette, pointing at
the tiny white blocks.
Bretta: 'There it is!'
