PANEL ONE (upper half of page)

At the right (nearest) end of the panel, our little fleet: _Sweek
Lestvoh_, _Resplendent Quetzal_, and _Laploma D'Wherra_, arranged in a
line, with Arran's ship in the center. Their masts point away from us,
toward the oncoming Jendyne ships.

Above them, visible only because of its brilliant rear surfaces,
hovers _Kestrel_.

Still tiny in the distance, at the left end of the panel, three
Jendyne warships, masts pointed at us, arranged in a triangle with the
largest at the top.

Narrative (Tarrant): 'Krumm -- now technically a commodore -- put
_Sweek Lestvoh_ in the center. She was bigger and better gunned, but
there'd been no time to drill her makeshift crew.'

PANEL TWO (lower lefthand quarter of page)

Krumm's 'fleet', close enough that the two outer vessels are cut
by the panel edges. Above them, _Kestrel_ has suddenly blasted away,
toward the Jendynes.

Narrative (Tarrant): 'I had decided to _un_even the odds a little.'

PANEL THREE (lower right quarter of page)

As _Kestrel_ streaks near the largest enemy vessel, she suddenly
veers away in a tight curve to the right -- but some object from
_Kestrel_ keeps heading toward the Jendyne ship.

Narrative (Tarrant): 'Insubordinate as hell, I know ... '
